SCB HK Marathon 2025
This year, the race is introducing a more inclusive age group system, expanding from 8 to 20 categories with 10 for men and 10 for women. Priority registration opens on August 12, while the public ballot runs from 10 am on August 21 to August 30. Don't miss your chance to be part of this thrilling event!
Runners can choose from three distances: the full marathon (with 18,000 spots), the half-marathon (24,500 spots), and the 10km run (30,900 spots). There are also special categories for wheelchair athletes, with 20 spots for the 10km Wheelchair Race and 40 spots for the Wheelchair Trial.
The routes for the main races remain the same. The marathon and half-marathon begin on Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and finish at Victoria Park. The 10km run starts at the Island Eastern Corridor and also ends at Victoria Park.
Top finishers stand to win big! Marathon champions in both the men's and women's divisions will receive US$65,000 (HK$506,240). Hong Kong permanent residents placing in the top three of each race category will receive prizes ranging from HK$6,000 to HK$500. Additionally, permanent residents completing the marathon in under 3 hours (men) or 3.5 hours (women) will earn a HK$1,000 bonus.
