3 Public Museums Extend Hours

The Museum of Art, the Science Museum and the Space Museum will continue to extend their opening hours to 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until January 1 next year.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department said the arrangement echoes the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign in promoting night activities. During the extended opening nights, the Space Theatre at the Space Museum will also feature an extra show. On December 24, all three museums will close at 5pm to facilitate holiday celebrations and crowd control. On December 31, the Museum of Art will close at 7pm while the other two museums will be open until 9pm.
